Terms of Service.

Last updated May 11, 2026

These terms describe what Vouchback is, what you agree to when you use it, and what we agree to do for you. Read them carefully — by creating an account you accept the obligations below.

01

Who can use Vouchback

Vouchback is a private network for small businesses. You may use it only if you operate a real business — sole prop, LLC, partnership, agency, studio, contractor, or similar — and you are the person at that business who interacts directly with clients.

Consumer accounts are not permitted. Researchers, journalists, and third parties acting on behalf of someone who has been reviewed are not permitted.

You confirm you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract on behalf of your business.

02

The contribute-to-read model

Vouchback only works if practitioners share what they know. To read any subject in the network, you must first submit at least one honest review of a past client of your own.

Submitting a review you know to be false in order to unlock lookups is a material breach of these terms and will result in immediate account termination plus removal of every review you have ever posted.

03

Review rules

By submitting a review you confirm that:

  • The review describes a transaction or engagement that actually happened between your business and the client.
  • Every structured rating (payment, communication, missed appointments, would-rehire, scope, payment delay days) is your honest assessment of what occurred.
  • Any free-form notes describe facts — what happened, when, in what sequence — and not legal accusations, character judgments, or speculation about motive.
  • You will not include the full last name, home address, workplace, or government identifier of the reviewed party. First name plus last initial is the maximum identifier you may attach.
  • You will not use Vouchback to retaliate against a client for a legitimate dispute, a chargeback you lost on the merits, or any protected conduct.

Reviews that violate these rules — as determined under our content policy and appeal process — will be removed. Repeat violations will end your account.

04

What you may do with what you read

Information you read on Vouchback is for your own decision-making about whether to take on a client. You may use it to adjust your deposit, change your terms, decline the engagement, or proceed with caution.

You may not:

  • Republish, screenshot, or share Vouchback content with anyone outside the network — including the reviewed party themselves.
  • Use Vouchback content to publicly identify, shame, or harass anyone.
  • Aggregate, scrape, or build a derivative dataset from Vouchback in whole or in part.
  • Tell a client "you're on Vouchback" or otherwise weaponize the existence of a listing.
05

Your account

Sign-in uses one-time magic links sent to your verified business email. You are responsible for keeping access to that email secure. Sharing an account with anyone outside your business is prohibited.

You can delete your account at any time. Deleting your account removes your user row and cascades to every review you posted. Aggregate scores for subjects you reviewed will recompute without your contributions.

06

Our role

Vouchback is the platform that hosts and displays reviews. We do not write reviews, we do not verify each individual fact in a review, and we are not a party to any business relationship described in a review.

We moderate against the content rules. Removal of a review under those rules is not a finding that the review was false — only that it did not meet the rules.

07

Disputes and appeals

Reviewed parties may submit an appeal under the content rules. We will review the appeal against the rules and the original submission. Reviews that violate the rules will be removed. Reviews that simply paint the reviewed party in an unflattering light will not — that is the point of the network.

Disputes between you and another Vouchback member, or between you and a reviewed party, are not Vouchback's responsibility to resolve.

08

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or the content rules. We will generally give notice when practical, but reserve the right to act immediately in cases involving harassment, doxxing, defamation, or repeated abuse of the appeal process.

Sections 03, 04, 09, and 10 survive termination of your account.

09

Limits on liability

Vouchback is provided as-is. We do not warrant that any individual review is accurate, that any aggregate score predicts future behavior, or that the absence of reviews for a subject means that subject is safe to work with.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vouchback's total liability to you for any claim arising out of your use of the service is limited to the greater of fifty US dollars or the amount you paid Vouchback in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to your verified business email at least fourteen days before they take effect. Continued use of Vouchback after that date is your acceptance of the new terms.
